I had a little issue with the shipping but Hydro-Shield was very responsive on solved the topic immediatly. Looks all very solid and easy to install, just want to try it out now. Can't wait.

I just installed the Hydro-Shield on my Volvo Penta outdrive and looking forward to seeing how well it works. I recommend this to a friend and he put it on right away and put it in the water. We noticed a significant difference on getting his boat to plane much faster and without a lot of throttle as he had to in the past. And the turning radius was much better. I will update my post as soon as I get my boat in the water.

I have just fitted the larger hydro shield to my Fourwinns horizon 200 with a duo prop leg and looking forward to seeing the improvements . I will report back once I’ve tested it.
The only improvement I would say you can make is please have a very good instructional video made as it is very simple to fit once you’ve done one they’re a doddle! I did find it quite nerve racking drilling holes in my Skeg

Easy installation! Top notch product!

I installed on my Bass boat. Nitro 929 cdx , 225 mercury outboard. It does everything advertised. I get on plane faster even at slower speeds. Handles a lot better. Saves propeller and wild life. I love it best investment.

Its too cold to get the boat out yet but now its ready to go. I had watched a couple you tube videos prior to the device arrived, but once it did, I was ready to install it.. i'm guessing it took longer to get the drill and wrenches gathered up than it did to install it. simply clamped it in place, dril the holes and attach the foil and it was done! Its just that easy.. From what everyone is saying, the performance is greatly.. Thanks for the quick delivery.

Haven't tested performance yet due too ice still being on the lakes, but install was easy, good quality and appearance looks good

I own a 17'4" Tide Craft (bass boat) with a 135hp Mariner and a 26 pitch Mercury Tempest prop. Top speed 55mph with a cruising speed of 30mph or I come down off plane. Hole shots were slower than I liked and I'd struggle to get up on plane with a full tank of gas and two people. Until I installed Hydro-Shield!! To be honest I was skeptical and was hoping for a small improvement. The difference is hard to articulate!! My boat leaps out of the water. I can cruise at a much more comfortable 15-20 mph. I did not find top speed and I'll need to practice as my boat operates differently as far as trim goes but I'm sure going to love practice!! It's truly a new boat. The improvement is more dramatic than I can believe. Amazing, amazing product. Stop wondering and buy it. Install is easy but can be challenging so having a buddy to help is wise. Tech support is great. Call with any questions, text pictures, they can talk you through whatever you need. In the attached picture I had not trimmed the bolts yet. I did do that before putting it in the water.

I had an issue with the first foil I purchased , after discussing the issue with the manufacturer/ seller the issues was resolved.
Support received on this matter was above and beyond the normal usually received from Vendors.

As I seen the sponsored ad on Facebook and Instagram for the hydrofoil, my initial thought was, if it's that good, why didn't the boat manufacturer do it from the start? I'm sure we all thought the same thing. The damn thing really works. I installed it, went out to Castaic Lake, the boat got on plane immediately and the turns were sharper considering I have an M-Shaped hull which does not like sharp turns. So yeah, it works. I installed it on a mercury 90 outboard 4-stroke with a 4-fin prop on a bayliner element m17. I'm very happy with the results. Installation is super simple.

For anyone curious, installed the L35 on our 190hp MerCruiser Stern drive on our 18.5ft/5.6m 3000lb/1350kg bow rider. Improved time to plane noticeably, especially with full 500kg load (8 people) on board, still planing in under 3 seconds when running a Solas Rubex HR4 prop, 4 blade 14x21 with high rake and high cupping.

Improved cruising on choppy water dramatically by holding the rear of the boat much more stable (not bouncing), like adding shock absorbers (as much as it lifts the rear it also stops it being lifted by outside forces, that's how a hydrofoil works).

No noticeable change in top speed for us keeping at around 47mph, not used long enough to have fuel usage figures, but appears to be using less and has reduced RPMs at set cruising speeds. 

Mount and bolts are all 316 stainless steel, brackets are 4.7mm thick and whilst I have not modified them, I did feel the leading edge could have been shaped a little and I still may trim the outside corners on the leading edge, bolts through teh skeg were trimmed down tot he edge of the nuts, foil looks like HPDE Thermoplastic (think white chopping boards but a bit stiffer), about 25mm thick in the middle and well shaped like a wing tapering off in both chord and thickness. Have hit some rocks at low speed, a few small scratches underneath and a couple of nicks in the front edge but no major damage and more importantly no damage to the prop.

Over all very happy with the result and very happy to recommend.

COULD NOT HAVE WISHED FOR BETTER SERVICE, TOP MARKS AWARDED.
